混沌水车

        现实生活中人们遇到了极为复杂的系统行为的挑战，如湍流问题、天气预报等。这些被传统理论和方法认为是非常难以解决的问题，正期待一种新思想的出现——于是混沌学诞生了。混沌并不是简单的无序或混乱，而只是没有明显的周期和对称，却具有丰富内部层次的特殊的“有序”状态。

        混沌水轮的设计是受罗仑兹水车的启发，能近似地演示一种混沌，比较直观。虽然上面淋水系统是规则的，下面盛水的水轮也是对称规则的，但它却能出现无规则的貌似随机的运动。通过对本展品的仔细观察，希望能引起观众对“混沌”的关注。
   

CHAOTIC WATERWHEEL
