极小曲面    

        本展品是应用物理学的方法来表现数学中的极小曲面问题。不同的框架浸入肥皂水中,在提出来时,在框架的多边形之间形成了形状各异的肥皂膜,这是由于表面张力作用造成的,这种极值问体在工程优化中有重要的作用。各种立体形状的形成,对于初学立体几何的人建立立体概念也是有益的。


MINIMUM CURVED SURFACE     

         The exhibit uses methods in physics to demonstrate the minimum curved surface problem in mathematics. Immerse different frames into soap water and pull them out, and there will be different shapes of soap membrane between the polygons of the frames because the action of surface tension. Such extreme value problems have important roles to play in engineering optimization. The formation of different solid shapes is very helpful in establishment of the concept of a solid for a beginner in the study of geometry.
