从煤到电

火力发电实际上是一个能量转换装置，体现了一次能源向二次能源的转换。是通过一系列设备，将煤、石油、天然气等固体、液体、气体燃料的化学能转化为电能的过程。在火电厂中，燃料被送入锅炉进行燃烧，释放的热量将水加热为一定温度，产生具有一定压力的蒸汽；膨胀的蒸汽推动汽轮机旋转，使热能转化为推动转子转动的机械能；汽轮机带动发电机旋转切割磁力线，将机械能转化为电能。最后，再通过变压器、输电线路等设备，将电能送入千家万户。

一次能源仍以煤为主，中国的煤炭资源丰富。以煤炭作为燃料发电占总发电量的82%左右，火力发电是重要的发电方式之一，并且仍有巨大潜力。

                      From Coal to Electricity

Exhibit Explanation:

Thermal power generation set is actually an energy conversion device which reflects the conversion from primary energy to secondary energy. It is a process in which the chemical energy of solid, liquid and gas fuels as coal, petroleum and natural gas is converted into electric energy in a series of devices. In thermal power station, after burning the fuels in the boiler, the heat released heats the water to certain temperature and turns into steam with pressure; then spins a steam turbine and converts the heat energy into mechanical energy which spins the rotor; the steam turbine rotates the generator to cut the magnetic-curves and finishes the conversion from mechanical energy to electric one. Finally the electricity is sent to thousands of households after going through the transformers and electric transmission lines.

In China，primary energy used in power generation is coal which is rich in resources. Thermal power generation accounts for about 82 percent of the gross amount; it is one of the most important types of electricity generation and has great potential of development.
